| Brook Berry, a native Minnesotan who loves the Mall of America, really, has recently returned from Los Angeles where he wrote plays, television scripts and pithy advertising copy. His play BAD BRAD was featured at the HBO New Playwright’s Festival and also at the Los Angeles Theater 40 One-act Festival. His play GOLDFINGER’S ARMY was featured at the San Diego New Play Workshop and selections were published in BEST STAGESCENES 2001 edited by D.L. Lapidus. Other plays include HOT UNDER THE COLLAR and DON’T LOOK DOWN. As a television writer, Berry wrote and directed the 2004 NBC PRIMETIME PREVIEW SPECIAL starring Eric McCormack from WILL AND GRACE, which aired on NBC, BRAVO and USA NETWORK. Other television credits include The OH GOD 25TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL, BONANZAEXTRAVAGANZA, SURF WATCH (PAX TV), THE NEW ADVENTURES OF CAPTAIN KANGEROO and THE MAKING OF DAS BOOT - THE DIRECTOR'S CUT. His hour- long television pilot THE DARK KNIGHT (written with Steve Sohmer) was optioned by CBS. His two-hour television movie MOM SQUAD! Was optioned by PAXTV. Berry completed a first-look television development deal with Columbia Pictures Television. Berry also wrote, directed and produced award-winning television and movie trailers for NBC, CBS, DISNEY, PARAMOUNT, SONY, BRAVO, PAXTV, COLUMBIA TRISTAR and BUENA VISTA TELEVISION. He received a B.A. from the University of Minnesota and a Masters in Creative Writing at Boston University studying under Nobel Prize winnerDerek Walcott.
